Soccer Dayz

In case you didn't know... This year John has started playing soccer!! In a League! I volunteered to be his coach and it has been a BLAST so far! He is actually very good at soccer and the skills they are teaching me to teach his team have been helping all the little boys LEARN to play soccer. Up until now I never thought that was possible with 4 year olds.....LOL

Every practice I have to be there a half hour before the other parents and kids to learn the skills to teach that day. Sometimes they are very hard concepts but the kids always seem to be able to do them! Sometimes my partner team's coaches and I will modify the "games" a little bit just to break it down easier for 4 year olds LOL! It is loads of for me as well and I am learning a little bit of soccer too! Which is great cause before this I knew nothing!! hahaha!! :)

John loves soccer and I think he is enjoying this special time with me. With Jason taking up a lot of my time at home, I wanted something to do with my little John that was special, just the two of us. This is a great activity because I can support and encourage him while he gets some healthy exercise and also learns to play a sport!! :) I'm not sure if I'll always volunteer to be his coach but I will defiantly encourage soccer as long as he's into it!! :)

When Daddy Came Home this Summer

So I have some pictures and a story of "Homecoming day" this summer and I am so sorry for holding out on you guys... I will tell you what happened and give you some long awaited pictures in this post! :) Sorry. it took so long... I love you! LOL!!

On the day Darrell came home we had the awesome pleasure of winning "First Hug"!! During a Homecoming there are two special traditions the Navy likes to honor. One is "First Kiss" and the other is "First Hug". Back in the day when families were allowed to meet the boat at the pier, this was a super special gig to have because it meant that you got to greet your husband first, in front of everyone else, on the pier, before everyone else!! It was pretty neat... the Navy papers would take pictures sometimes if it had been a particularly long deployment and it was a HUGE deal.... now-a-days... we can't meet them on the pier anymore and it pretty much just means for us, on our particular boat, that if we win one of these, our husbands don't have to go with all the other guys to unload their stuff in the office after their bus ride and they get to come to the "meet-up" place first. LOL Still pretty cool!! Less waiting...

Anyway... We won first hug and so Darrell got to come see us first before the other guys got there... I was waiting and waiting and waiting and getting anxious because there were SO MANY woman and children standing around and I couldn't see when the van would drive up... Then Jason started getting restless because he was tired of sitting in his stroller... I decided, he wasn't here yet so I would take the boys back inside the building and get something else to drink... as soon as I got inside some woman ran in after me to tell me Darrell was here!!! CRAPPP!!! LOL as I was running with the boys back outside he came around the corner and we just hugged!! It was private and sweet... all the other wives were outside ogling the couple that won "First Hug" and we were inside kind of alone! Our good friend Samantha and her kids were there and they took some pictures for us! Darrell had a disgusting mustache that he grew while he was out and Jason was slightly weirded out by that! haha!! We got to spend a few minutes together before the other guys showed up and Darrell had to go help unload the busses full of seabags... it was super special and a great end to the easiest deployment we've had so far... :)

The "Spinny Park"

So there is the weird park in Port Orchard that we like to go to sometimes. This park is right on the waterfront and we like to take the Bremerton Foot Ferry to get there... even though you could totally drive in the same amount of time. The ferry adds a tad more excitement to the adventure and it's super cheap. There is a little "beach" area you can stick your feet in and the park is TOTALLY weird... whoever designed it was either and artist, a scientist, or a nut job! haha! :)

So Much FUN!!

The last time we went there was especially fun because Darrell came! Usually this is something I like to do with the boys while he's out at sea. I try to fill up our time with free or cheap things to do to pass the time.

Laundry Basket Chaos

So I sometimes keep laundry baskets of clean clothes in the living room until I can get to putting them away...ok... MOST of the time. lol!

Jason has decided that these are fair game for playing on and has been climbing in them for the past couple days. He sits in there and watches TV. He sits in there and tries to climb out upside down... his face always his the floor when he does this but does her care? Nope! He gets right back in and plays some more.

Also because Jason has been doing it and we think its cute... John has to as well. LOL He has to do everything Jason does... so he climbs in there with him and they play together! :)

My boys are so cute!

What is so

fun about
climbing in
a laundry basket??? :)

The Family Blog

I am excited about this blog. I decided to start this project because I feel like Facebook is not a big enough outlet for me to share the love I have for my family. There are so many wonderful, crazy, adorable, funny, and great things that happen in our daily lives together! It's hard to explain or share that with our friends and family. Most of you guys live so far away!! :(

Please feel free to check this blog often! I will try to make a post everyday! Even if it's just a picture. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope that through this blog, it's readers will get a small peek into my world. My world is a place of peace and love. My boys are the blessing of my life and I am thankful to God everyday I get to spend with them.

This video is my favorite thing in the world right now!! It is sooooooo funny!!! John likes to make me watch it over and over and over and over again so i thought maybe you would like to too!!! :) hahaha!!
