This was aired on 94.1, a local country radio station at 8am on Dec 15th. We had a lot of fun doing it and really appreciate the opportunity to at least tell the Greater Seattle Area how much our Sailor means to us... and to remind them to enjoy the season with their loved ones because some of us are sacrificing...
Also thought the Wounded Warrior donation was pretty sweet! Darrell will like that! :)
Welcome to our blog! Below you will find posts about what we have been up to! Enjoy! However far away you are... know that we love and miss you. We wish we lived closer. This Navy Life has it's pluses and minuses... but we try to have fun and love each other with everything we've got! By doing that, it helps us accept that we live so far away from the rest of our families. May God bless you as he blesses us

Jason watching a video of Daddy!
Since we miss daddy so much we often watch old videos of him from the summer on the computer... and look at pictures... This is Jason reacting to his favorite video of daddy! I honestly think he may remember when we made it or something... it never gets old! and it never stops being funny to him!!

Railroad Adventures
Last night I took the boys on a one night getaway to Elbe, WA. There is nothing in that town except the MT Rainier Scenic Railroad and the Hobo Inn! We were already scheduled to ride the scenic railroad with Santa so I figured why not make an adventure out of it! If it's one thing my dad taught me growing up it's the love for a spontaneous adventure... Dan always had a spontaneous adventure around every corner growing up! lol One time we stopped on the side of the road and fished out of a small crick with a stick, a paperclip, and some angel food cake... and we caught a fish! lol! I'm glad he gave me that gift growing up because now I can fill my children's lives with adventure!! :)
Anyway... so Elbe, WA was too much fun! The boys and I stayed in a CABOOSE! lol Elbe has one of the largest collections of old cabooses and they renovated these things into an inn! How cool is that! We had a blast sleeping there and then waking up and riding the scenic railroad with Santa around the bottom of MT Rainier!! :) Enjoy these pics and funny commentary! There are a lot!!
At this point we were getting super excited to get there! We kept climbing higher and higher into the mountains and it was getting colder!! All we could see around us was beauty... We checked into our caboose!
We got up the next morning SOOO excited to meet Santa and ride a real train!! We had to eat our free breakfast first!!
